RATIONALE:

 

Project Management as a profession has grown to become a distinct discipline in the knowledgebased professions. Projects and their management by qualified and trained professionals is fast becoming indispensable to business and organisational success. This course provides an introduction to modern programme and project management.

 

AIM:

 

The course will present an understanding of the project/programme environment. It will introduce the concept of Project Management as a professional discipline that provides the project manager with knowledge tools and techniques for planning and implementing projects/programmes from concept through to completion. The course is consistent with the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) 4th Edition.
